Malibu Beach Cottage

When my friend Candi of Candace Rose fame shared this Malibu beach home featured several years ago in California Magazine (and Project EcoArt) belonging to Juicy Couture co-founder Pamela Skaist-Levy, I was completely smitten! Like Candi, my dream is to live in a beach house by the ocean (surprise surprise), so seeing these images makes my heart beat a little faster. All the glorious white, mixed with striking punches of blue and turquoise...what's not to love?! Certainly that killer ocean view too! *sigh*

Crisp and Cool Sunroom

It's rooms like this (photographed by Peter Murdock) that make Coastal Living one of my favorite magazines. All that crisp white brought to life with the bold turquoise sofa. Yum! I love all the windows, the high slanted ceiling and that cute slipcovered chair. And I especially love that a radiant heat system was installed underneath the bluestone pavers, which were salvaged from a former patio. Just what our long Minnesota winters call for! Roberts Erickson Design

I'm dishing out the eye-candy today, complements of Roberts Erickson Design (remember that fab bedroom they designed?) The owners of this eclectic Myrtle Beach home featured in Grand Strand Magazine live here full-time, but still wanted to have a vacation vibe. They were very adamant about keeping things neutral, so pops of colors were brought in to create a look that coexists with the ocean-side landscape. The result is beachy, but not in a literal way. What I love the most is that the couple didn't start all over from scratch, they wanted to keep a lot of their original furniture and accessories. They just wanted an update. Key Lime Parrot Cottage

Oh how I love Jane Coslick! She just never disappoints, does she? How adorable is this bedroom in the Key Lime Parrot Cottage on Tybee Island. Jane said that when they were done renovating it, there was no room left in the budget for "fun stuff", so she was forced to be more creative. Now it's one of her favorite rooms in the cottage! I can't wait to get to Tybee one day, it looks like such a neat place...a perfect combination of fun energy mixed with an easygoing, restful vibe. Just what I love! My Dream Cottage

I've posted part of this home a long time ago, but it's one of my most favorite homes of all time. I love that the tiny 969 sq ft carriage house is in Des Moines (I hail from Iowa!), and that the Country Home team transformed it using renewable and recycled products. The upstairs space is incredible...the stenciled walls are just so beautiful. And I could just stare at the bed all day. I love that they used vintage feed sacks and embroidered tea towels to make the throw pillows. How perfect do they look with the lovely Plover Organic bedding! Mabley Handler Interior Design

Last week you all LOVED the seafoam bathroom by Mabley Handler Interior Design so much, I thought I'd share more from their portfolio. After seeing the photos, it didn't surprise me to learn that Jennifer Mabley and her husband Austin Handler focus their design business on projects in the Hamptons. I like what Jennifer had to say in Hamptons Magazine: "A lot of our clients have similar needs for their homes, but are coming from different points of view. Some are trying to capture a feeling from a summerhouse they rented. Some people want a house where they can do a lot of entertaining; some want a house that's very private...But they all want the same thing: to be able to relax and enjoy." Cool Custom Bunk Room

This space designed by Platt Byard Dovell White Architects and designer Tracy Bross is out of this world cool, when I saw it on Table Tonic I knew you guys would love it too. The room (photographed by Jonathan Wallen) is actually featured in the new book Room for Children: Stylish Spaces for Sleep and Play by Susanna Sulk, a compilation of over 100 stylish interiors ranging from nursery to teen. What kid wouldn't want to spend a night or two in this bunkroom, tucked away in their own private hideaway? And I don't know about you, but I love that turquoise and orange!!!
