Armelle Studio

Do you guys remember little Norah's nursery?? One of my ALL-TIME favorites ever?! The design genius behind it and this gorgeous studio is jewelry designer Caroline of Armelle Jewelry. Schumacher's Birds and Butterflies wallpaper is a match made in heaven with her stained concrete floor. (Wouldn't you love to do that in your basement?!) I absolutely adore the white armoire she lovingly painted too, and how the inside is painted Robins Nest by Benjamin Moore to match the floors. Read all about these projects and more over on her blog!

Turquoise Striped Plan

I never get tired air to perfection! One of my favorites was the 2010 Arkansas house designed by Tobi Fairley. I have already shared their photos at home, this room with you before (How could you forget Marjorie Skouras chandelier!), But I was happy to find other images of the portfolio of kitchen Tobi. painted wood floors are absolutely fab-u-Lous! (They painted Wythe Blue Wool Skein is Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams). The result is a playful and unique, but the perfect color choices to make room for a beautiful peaceful too. LOVE!

Craig Kettles

I'm back!!! What a fantastic vacation I had! I can't wait to get my pictures on to my computer (all 1,300 of them!) and share a few favorites with you guys. I saw loads of turquoise gems I know you're gonna love. I just want to send another thank you to all of my talented guest bloggers...I loved all of your posts!

Since I'm feeling pretty exhausted (the NYC part of our trip should have been first on our itinerary!) but mostly since I wish I was still at the beach, I felt these rooms designed by Craig Kettles were perfectly fitting for the day. I'm loving the painted floor and cozy nooks in the bunk room. Wouldn't the painted ceiling in the bedroom would be a delight to gaze up at?! Both rooms so simple, but absolutely lovely in every way! For more spaces as equally as beautiful, head on over to C Designs!

Hi House of Turquoise readers. This is Coco. My blog's name is COCOCOZY.

I'm guest posting here for Erin as she takes a little well deserved vacation! I was so honored when Erin emailed me last week and asked if I would guest post about my favorite turquoise rooms. So here goes!

I love a room infused with turquoise blue. There is something invigorating, exciting and cheerful about about a blue room! I love the color turquoise. I have a wonderful dose of it in my living room in the Hollywood Hills in a huge piece of art, a turquoise blue chandelier in bathroom, had a load of turquoise blue outside in my outdoor living space on my deck. Makes me so happy to see the blue for some reason. How about you?

Here are may favorite blue spaces these days...

Vintage Guest Cottage

Love at first sight. That's what it was when I spotted this comfy guest cottage on Chic Coles yesterday. Photographed by Janis Nicolay and featured in Style at Home magazine, this cottage was designed by Colleen Sawatsky, owner of Vintage Home in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The colors, oh the colors...all so pretty! The breezy painted floors and furniture, delightful fabrics, crisp white walls, there is not one thing that I don't absolutely LOVE about this home! I hope you all enjoyed it too, and have the best Labor Day weekend ever!

I Adore Painted Floors!

*sigh* I love painted floors (even green ones)! Hirshfield's Color Club recently had a post dedicated to painted floors with some really cool examples. This first one above from Sunny Goode was my favorite...I'm all about bold color and patterns! So fun! Speaking of painted floors, I had to include this kitchen from High-Heeled Foot in the Door. Camila just finished painting her floor and said it was one of the easiest projects she'd ever done...and it cost only $50! Read her awesome DIY tutorial here!

Lastly, don't forget this is the last day to enter my giveaway for the Breakfast at Tiffany's Decoupage Tray from Paris Hotel Boutique! Head over here for that!

Another Dreamy Sleeping Nook

Talk about a lucky girl! Thanks to Sweet Home Style, I didn't miss seeing this adorable space that Apartment Therapy featured belonging to Mary, who is now a freshman in college. When she was young she never wanted to sleep in her own bed. As a solution, her mom and aunt decided to build her this special little sleeping nook for her 8th birthday. Even though the room has a childish feel, she says she never grew out of it. Understandably Mary was recently devastated to learn her parents were selling her childhood home, but was comforted knowing that the family moving in had two little girls who were mesmerized by the beautiful and cozy room. I don't blame them...it's truly mesmerizing, isn't it? Love those floors and ceiling too!

Romantic Cottage Bathroom

I love me some rustic charm, and this cottage bathroom doesn't disappoint! The 13' peaked ceiling and exposed support structure both painted white?! Hea-ven-ly. But most of all I love that painted floor (Benjamin Moore - Stormy Monday 2112-50 semigloss). Featured in Canadian House and Home (check out the gallery dedicated to white cottages!) this bathroom was also included in the book Pottery Barn Bathrooms. I haven't looked through it in person, but the teaser images on Amazon were enough to make me add it to my wish list. Hello, 87 used & new from $1.48!

Coastal Cool in Saskatchewan

I fell madly in love with this floor when my reader Meghan from Regina,
Saskatchewan sent me these photos. She and her husband just bought and renovated their first home, relying on a strict budget and inspiration from the design blogosphere. The couple spent the last 3 years living in Halifax, Nova Scotia going to school, so the their porch is their ode to the coast and to the ocean-side cottage they can never have on the prairie! (I hear ya sister!) I know you are all wondering what paint she used (Cloverdale oil paint "Aqua Infusion" - #7506). Don't you love the red from the retro table and chairs?? Red, white and turquoise, my kind of 4th of July!!! I hope you all have one fantastic and safe holiday weekend!!! :D

Urban Grace Interiors

I've been following the blog belonging to Erika of Urban Grace Interiors for a long time, but never did it occur to me to check out her portfolio. Oh the goodies I found! Did you recognize that kitchen with the lovely blue island from the March issue of Coastal Living? I love how she used blue cabinet knobs too. (You can see more of that Coastal Living feature here on her blog.) And I just can't get enough of that room in the first and last image! That floor is TDF, and I love the fans and light fixtures. I imagine a ton of fun goes down in that space! And with that, I hope you all have a ton of fun this weekend! ;)
