Leila's Happy Haven

I spend a lot of time looking at beautiful rooms online, but it's not too often I see ones that make me as happy as this room. And then to know it was designed by ten year-old Leila, the daughter of Velvet & Linen blogger Brooke Giannetti makes me even happier! After first finding the perfect floral rug at Anthro, she was inspired to choose Farrow and Ball's "Blue Ground" for the walls. It makes a great background for displaying Leila's colorful artwork. Don't you love the sofa, chair and ottoman?? And hello there, dreamy alcove! *sigh* I just know all of her friends want to hang out at her house now! (I know I do!) Heavenly Hideaway

I'll don't think I will ever get tired of seeing the Ikea canopy bed, especially all dolled up with flowing curtains like this! This adorable room that was featured in At Home in Arkansas belongs to the daughter of Jennifer and Jeff of Herron Horton Architects and is the perfect hideaway, no matter your age! I love the fresh color palette of the bedding against all the white, not to mention the colorful design on those fab pillow shams. Those windows look pretty incredible too!

Caldwell Flake

Blueprint Bliss and Room Remix have both recently featured some of the stunning work of Lisa Flake and Mary Ruth Caldwell, the mother/daughter team of of Caldwell Flake. However there is nothing like a tour of their portfolio. So many bold vibrant rooms, so many soothing neutral spaces, ALL completely droolworthy. Part of their philosophy is to compose visual anecdotes that are all at once classic, curious and calming, which is definitely apparent in these examples. Angeline Guido

I LOVE this bedroom designed by Angeline Guido, a young interior designer out of Dallas. She said the client's 14 year-old daughter wouldn't settle for anything other than blue walls...my kind of girl! (The color is Sherwin Williams SW6945 "Belize".) I think the results are fun and youthful, but still incredibly tasteful. The custom-made headboard and bedding are scrumptious, and I am loving the zebra stool! What a great room!

Margaret Donaldson

It's not every day that I run into a photo that literally takes my breath away. But when I spotted that turquoise bedroom, you should have heard me gasp. The more I dug into the portfolio of Charleston interior designer Margaret Donaldson, the more eye-candy I found. Don't you love all of the ceilings in each of these rooms?? Her brilliant use of color adds so much character! And I just have to point out that bed in the top picture....talk about perfect. Canopy + turquoise headboard = match made in heaven!

Martensen Jones Interiors

Ooh la la! My eyes were in for a real treat when I discovered this fun bedroom designed by Martensen Jones Interiors on MadeByGirl. I know this is a room the little girl is easily going to grow into. Love that white backdrop, the fresh green and blue color palette, all the fab furnishings and fabric! Seriously, how many lucky ducklings have a Hermes throw at the foot of their bed?!

I'm constantly asked what my go-to paint colors are, and it's so hard to say because I actually have no experience painting...the definite disadvantage to renting! It's beyond me why I didn't think to do this sooner, as in YEARS ago, but better late than never. I need your help! I hope you enjoyed all the readers' room inspiration to kick-off your weekend! I've selected some colorful and bold bedrooms, obviously reserved mainly for the younger crowd. You guys really like to have fun when you decorate your kids' rooms...I love it! Isn't it cool how everyone interprets turquoise differently, and to see all the combinations turquoise looks good with??

Keep your rooms coming to me, I love seeing them!! I'm trying to figure out how to better organize all my email, I never dreamed in a million years I'd get as much as I do!
