Copperhill, The Design Of A Modern Lodge In Åre, Sweden

Copperhill, modern design planned to leave Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, is located in Åre, Sweden. Lodge runs parallel to the natural topography of the area, while maintaining the tree line, the plan has been deposited in the soil and to maximize exposure to natural light and view of exceptional landscape.

Each suite has been prefabricated off site and lifted into the building structure of the wood. Screening of windows and balconies to the outside corner of the structure through the facades clad wood staccato long, black finish Rödfärg Falu, a traditional finish with origins in the copper mines of Sweden. Two thin wings south side of the building in the heart of their projections and thin edges to reduce the mass of the building rests on a regional basis Offerdal slate.
