Maasland Hospital, Sittard, Netherlands

Maasland Hospital, designed by Bonnema Architecten is located in Sittard, Netherlands. Bonnema Architects has worked for over 50 years to create a functional architecture and functionality that we believe health care can save lives. Since 2001, Bonnema architects involved in planning future hospital in Sittard. The format was highly structured from the beginning, and the brief that "the patient is at the center" is an integral part of the process.

The house of healing in Sittard has six main areas: the center for screening and diagnosis, surgery and treatment center, nursing center and the center of knowledge and expertise. Logistics center, the sixth area, supports and facilitates the five centers mentioned above. The centers vary, which makes the atmosphere feel something, but the hospital may suffer. According Bonnema Architects while in a hospital should not have a clinical appearance. They are more "high touch" than high technology.
