Designed by Gensler, Fairmont Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. The hotel offers all modern luxury between cultural and commercial corridors of Pittsburgh. The hotel holds 185 rooms, industrial city art scene past and present, the revitalization of downtown Pittsburgh.
The task of the design team was to deliver an "extremely" green hotel, featuring artifacts uncovered during construction and create an authentic experience of Pittsburgh. Guided by the theme "Art and Industry and the design team has created interiors that reflect and respect the local community. 202,000 sq.m. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lobby lounge, 77,000 m² spa and fitness center and 12,000 square feet of meeting space including a ballroom of 6,000 sqm divisible, while rooms and suites are spread over ten floors above the building of 24 storeys, enjoying the view around downtown Pittsburgh, Mount Washington, and approximate the PNC and Allegheny rivers Ohio.
